Movement 37

While it’s impossible to tell from an onscreen image, Issue 37 represents a whole new direction for Movement. Now more hardcover book than magazine, each issue is so weighed down by pages that the lads are fretting the bill when they do the subscriber post out. And so they should be, the new format they have installed from this issue on, extra thick covers and additional pages in between, is heavy as shit, but so is the content.

In this issue, Movement caught up with Pierre Louis Costes while he was in Australia earlier this year, scored swell in the South Pacific with Dave Winchester, Jones Russell and Nick Gornall and rehashed the east coast road trip, with Nick Ormerod and crew, for a modern audience.

Movement 37 is available in stores now. Go get it!

Hardy On The Move

Movement caught up with Ryan Hardy (above, Round Four, 2011 Zicatela Pro) following his podium finish in Mexico. Power surfing, family holidays, parental responsibility and Portugal were on the agenda, read the interview here.

Ryan is currently still hanging out at Puerto Escondido and preparing for the Sintra Pro, the fifth stop on the 2011 IBA World Tour, next week. “The last men standing are Hardballs, Jake [Stone] and myself. Waves should still be fun for the next couple of days so we might try to milk it even more,” reports Lee Kelly.
