Recovery Mode

“After fracturing three vertebrae in June last year, I was out of the water for close to three months so the first surf back was pretty important to me,” says Michael Novy. “Six months later I had a memorable surf at a local wedge [Central Coast, New South Wales] one afternoon, I felt 100% with not a worry about my spine at all. I’ve shown both sessions here for everyone to watch. I hope you enjoy.”

Don’t forget to follow Novy’s goings on at michaelnovy.net, there’s plenty of fresh content over there for you to check out.

Bucking The Trend

Despite two major specialist bodyboard stores in Australia closing their doors in the past month or so, Bodyboard King – Australia’s premier online bodyboard store – has bucked the trend and opened their own brick and mortar store on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Bodyboard King is 100% owned by former professional bodyboarder Toby Player so you can be assured that every product in store is of the highest quality and that the advice given is from someone who knows the sport inside out and back to front.

Drop in and show some love to Toby and the crew at 5 / 722 Pittwater Road, Brookvale. Support your local Authorised Unite Dealer!

Hardy in Chile

Ryan Hardy first visited Arica, Chile in 2002 and thought he had scored on a four day trip to El Gringo. When he returned in 2004 for the inaugural Arica Chilean Challenge he nailed it again with non stop waves for two weeks. Six years later and the event hasn’t stopped producing amazing conditions for the world’s best bodyboarders to showcase the sport how it should be in epic waves.

Hardy gives us the word on the 2011 Arica Chilean Challenge in the latest clip from the International Bodyboarding Association.
