New Inverted Store

The new Inverted store, Inverted Port Stephens, opened in early December just in time for the Christmas rush. “My son Alan gave us the inspiration to open the store as he is involved and committed to the sport”, said owner Lydia Chegwidden. “We saw a gap in the bodyboarding market in Nelson Bay and felt that the sport and kids needed to be promoted more in the area”.

If you’re in town, drop in and say hi to Lydia and the crew at Inverted Port Stephens located at Shop 19 Cascade Arcade, 6 Stockton Street, Nelson Bay and support your local Authorised Unite Dealer.

Hawaii One-O

It might only be a month or so until the bodyboarding world converges on Hawaii for the 2011 season, but it’s never too late for some killer footage from the North Shore. Check out this Hawaii 2010 clip PJ Hadley filmed and edited recently for the crew at 71mag.com.

It’s well worth a watch, plenty of unseen action from Unite Team riders Ryan Hardy, Damian King, Nick Ormerod and Tom Smith. It’s almost that time again, psyched for Hawaii 2011!

Colour Premiere

At first glance, it seemed as though the entire South Australian bodyboarding and surfing community had hit The Warehouse in Adelaide last week for the premiere and launch party of Colour, a film by Kane Overall.

As a proud supporter of the film, we were stoked to hear that 450 people lined the venue and others braved the rain and watched on from the street for the premiere. Colour is the second project in Kane Overall’s film making career. The third instalment is now being pieced together as Kane and the crew continue to attempt to bridge the divide between surfing and bodyboarding in South Australia.

Colour is now available in stores throughout Australia, click here to view the teaser and head over here to check out more photos from the premiere.

An Early Present

How’s this punt Ryan Hardy launched in the 2010 El Fronton Invitational? In typical Hardballs style, he boosted this massive loop just after he was knocked out of the Semi Finals. Regardless, it’s freakin’ amazing! Be sure to check out the highlights reel from the event over here.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your amazing support in 2010, looking forward to bigger and better things in 2011! From the entire Unite family, Happy Holidays and all the best for the New Year!

Windy Fronton

So I didn’t pull the big prize in the El Fronton Invitational but managed to get some good waves in some close fought heats. This is my post comp stoke trying not to get blown off the cliff with Fronty in the background. Sick contest even though pretty crazy conditions.

If this comp will become the World Title decider in years to come, we’re gunna see the craziest shit go down! So epic!
